Debbie Ryan is a founding principal of Melbourne based architects McBride Charles Ryan and has managed the practice with Robert McBride for the past 25 years. Debbie’s approach is both scientific and intuitive, she has experience in commercial, institutional and domestic design.

Debbie is a recognised public speaker, design critic and a continuing contributor to the construction industry. The work of McBride Charles Ryan has been awarded numerous prizes that include 2013 IDEA Awards (Overall and Public Space Winner), Architizer A+ Award 2013, The Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Award (2010, 2011), World Architecture Awards 2009 (Winner – Best House), World Architecture Awards 2010 (Winner – Education) along with multiple awards from the Australian Institute of Architects at both state and National levels.
