Toolkit: Grid + Web

A toolkit investigating urban futures through inquiry into the dynamics of cities, especially the sustainability of their transport networks.

This toolkit explores how the  grid and the web represent contrasting, sometimes opposing, planning patterns, and are a catalyst for discussion about competing values in Urban Design.

Les Hooper, Kelvin Grove State College

expected duration

This toolkit is structured to be undertaken as a series of 60 minute sessions however teachers may prefer to condense or extend the program depending on unit goals and duration. Teachers are also encouraged to explore further inquiry (background research) to enhance the ideation exercises.
