This toolkit encourages students to explore where design exists in their own community and design and manufacture a prototype improving the features of a design.
This toolkit is intended to highlight that design is everywhere, even in our own backyards. It also recognises that everyone can be and indeed is required to be a designer.

These activities are structured to be undertaken across 10 x 40 minute sessions, however teachers may choose to make this unit longer or shorter depending on their individual time allowances.
